I
am a graduate of Moorhead State University with a degree in Elementary
Education. I also have Kindergarten Endorsement and a Psychology
Concentration. I had 10 years of teaching experience and almost 2 years
of experience as a licensed child care provider prior to joining the
GHES staff. I am thrilled to be the kindergarten teacher this year! It is amazing to watch these young children grow and learn each day!!
My family and I moved to Starbuck at the end of
2000. We have thoroughly enjoyed the community of Starbuck and the
people here! Tom and I have 2 sons, Aaron (who is a freshman at NDSU
this year) and Austin (who is a junior at MAHS this year), and 4
Labrador Retrievers. As a family, we spend much of our time with
sports, hunting, fishing/boating and 4-wheeling. I also love to do home
improvement projects.
I consider it a privilege to be able to
provide an education to the young people of this area!! GHES is truly a
great place to be and I look forward to each new day! We take pride in providing a family-like atmosphere for our students.
My
philosophy revolves around the old Chinese proverb: "Tell me and I'll forget,
show me and I may remember, involve me and I'll understand".
