My name is Jodee Lund and I am starting my 13th year in education. My husband, Nate Lund, and I are both educators and grew up around the Morris Area. We are both passionate about technology, project-based learning, and student choice and voice. We have three children, Elliot, McKinley, and Chloe. They are our pride and joy! In our spare time, we enjoy spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and boating!
I spent my first five years as a high school Social Studies teacher at Blue Earth Area. Three of those years were also spent as a technology coach for the district. It was during this time that I completed my first Masters in the Science of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership through Southwest State. It was through these experiences where I dove deep into the world of technology and thoughtful implementation.
To be closer to home (Morris), we moved to Pope County and have been here since. The first three years in the district I was the K12 Technology Integration Specialist (TIS). During this time, I went back to school and obtained my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through MSUM with an emphasis in leadership. I felt the need to gain a better background on best curriculum and instructional practices to further train, equip, and empower teachers to thoughtfully integrate technology tools and resources. While being a TIS was fun, I missed the classroom and daily interaction with students. For the last 4 years I have been in the classroom teaching history.
This year marks the start of my administration journey. I am thrilled to be at Glacial Hills Elementary. Charter schools have the ability to adapt to today's demands and meet the needs of all kids in creative and innovative ways. I especially love GHE, because it is a family-oriented community that prides itself on hands-on experiences, learning outside the classroom, and community connections!
