Our Educational Programs
We value hands-on, project-based learning where students apply their knowledge and discover their passions. The curriculum we write and adopt will encompass our belief that students should be taught holistically. We will develop the whole child and support them cognitively, behaviorally, socially, emotionally, and academically.
Recently, we adopted Scholastic Literacy as our reading and writing curriculum. We loved that this curriculum provided students with voice and choice to encourage a love for reading and writing. The reading selections and writing prompts are authentic and culturally relevant to peak student interest. During the 2021-2022 school year, we will be piloting new math curriculum to replace Everyday Math.
As mentioned earlier, we are committed to supporting your child beyond academics. We are thrilled to add an elementary counselor to our staff, Britt Rose. She will be working with students to help them be the best versions of themselves utilizing character education and restorative justice curriculum. Our program will utilize her expertise to train all staff members to ensure social-emotional content is being embedded into all curriculum.
