At our esteemed institution, we offer an enriching learning environment that has empowered countless students to learn, develop, and thrive. As a tuition-free public school, we take pride in providing intimate class sizes and fostering a culture of excellence.

Embracing the principles of experiential learning and student-centered instruction, we go beyond the confines of traditional classrooms to deliver a curriculum that not only meets Minnesota State Standards but also emphasizes environmental education. This dedication to innovative teaching methods has consistently positioned our school among the top performers in academic growth statewide.
Our holistic approach to education places students at the heart of their learning journey. We are committed to nurturing the whole child, supporting their cognitive, behavioral, social, emotional, and academic development every step of the way.

At Glacial Hills, our teachers are currently participating in LETRS training, ensuring that we implement best practices aligned with the science of reading. While we have not yet purchased a new core curriculum aligned to these practices, we have invested in supportive resources that strengthen word recognition and foundational reading skills. Once all teachers have completed LETRS training, we will carefully evaluate and select the curriculum that best meets the needs of our students. In the meantime, we remain committed to fostering a love for literacy through engaging, authentic, and culturally relevant reading and writing experiences. Additionally, our adoption of the Bridges in Mathematics curriculum has been met with enthusiasm from both teachers and students, promoting deep conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.

Beyond academics, we are dedicated to supporting your child's holistic growth. Our dedicated student support specialist, Kristi Gruber, employs the Second Step social-emotional curriculum and restorative justice practices to help students become their best selves. Through whole-group lessons and individual support sessions, we ensure that every student receives the personalized attention they need to thrive.
