We provide an enriched learning environment for students in PreK-6th grade that has helped countless students learn, develop, and grow. We are a public, tuition-free school that offers small class sizes. We embrace experiential learning, student-centered instruction, and learning outside the classroom to teach Minnesota Academic Standards and environmental education.

Our Philosophy
of Education
We are a public, tuition-free charter school with an emphasis on student-centered learning, partnerships with the community, and environmental education. Our staff is not content with the status quo. We love to think outside-the-box and strive to provide kids with holistic and real-world experiences. The world is not divided into subject areas and neither should our classrooms. A core component of our philosophy of education is project-based learning (PBL).
PBL probes students to question and problem-solve in teams. Students have to develop meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, and make sense of ideas instead of memorizing facts or procedures. This teaching and learning strategy fits naturally with our environmentally-focused curriculum. In the end, our goal is to develop students into life-long, passionate learners who are invested in their own education and their community.
